Overview
SignDesk ("we", "our", or "the app") is a local PDF workspace for signing, scanning, and managing documents. This policy explains what data the app processes and your choices.
Data stored on your device
- PDFs you import or scan
- Signatures you create (saved locally)
- Annotations, bookmarks, folders, tags, and receipt records
- App settings and subscription status
Permissions (only if you grant them)
- Camera — to scan documents into PDF
- Photo Library — to import images and save exports
- Face ID / Touch ID — optional app lock (biometric data stays on device via iOS)
iCloud Drive (Pro, optional)
If you enable cloud backup and are signed into iCloud, encrypted backup copies may be stored in your iCloud Drive. We do not operate our own document servers for routine storage.
AI features
- Demo AI runs on-device without sending documents to our servers.
- Live AI analysis uses your own OpenAI API key if you choose to add one in Settings — requests go directly to OpenAI under their terms.
- We do not sell document content or use it for advertising.
Subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Subscription status is verified through Apple's StoreKit.
Analytics & tracking
SignDesk does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs to track you across apps or websites.
Data retention & deletion
Delete documents individually in the app or remove all local data by uninstalling. iCloud copies follow your iCloud account settings. For support-related emails you send us, contact us to request deletion.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
