What Is a Recovery Score?
Most sleep apps give you a single number and leave you guessing. NeuroSleep shows a recovery score every morning with a full breakdown you can tap to understand.
The five factors
Your score is a weighted estimate based on:
- Sleep duration (25%) — total time asleep vs your target
- Deep sleep quality (25%) — deep sleep percentage from stages or estimates
- Consistency (20%) — regular bed and wake times
- Stress balance (15%) — profile stress, journal tags, and DreamSync check-ins
- Sleep continuity (15%) — night awakenings and fragmentation
Where the data comes from
NeuroSleep can calculate recovery from:
- Apple Health — sleep stages, HRV, heart rate, and vitals from iPhone or Apple Watch
- Manual sleep log — no watch required; log hours, quality, caffeine, stress, and more
- Your profile — baseline estimates during onboarding
What it is not
Recovery scores are wellness estimates, not medical diagnoses. They help you spot patterns and adjust habits — always consult a healthcare provider for sleep disorders or medical concerns.
